For the past thirteen years, Kids on the Block has presented one of Portland's major events -Yoshida's Sand in the City - which boasts an average attendance of over 50,000 visitors during the event week-end and brings 450 tons of sand in downtown portland.
Held at Pioneer Courthouse Square every July, this event defines Portland culture and is one of the Pacific Northwest's premier charity events.
100% of procceds from the event support Kids on the Block programs. With the help of our corporate sponsors, we are able to raise close to one third of Kids on the Block's operating budget with this one event!
This event is an excellent team building and marketing opportunity for your business and employees. Simultaneously, it allows your business to take a visible leadership role in the community by supporting a highly respected children's charity. This event is suitable for all companies regardless of size or creative ability, and it is designed to motivate people to work together and perform at their best.
We hope your company will join us next year. Contact Elizabeth Anderson, our Development Director, to find out how you can get involved as a team or sponsor: 503-736-3200 or elizabeth@powerfulpuppetry.org.
